Opened as a permanent exhibition in <strong>1978<\/strong>, it houses the priceless heritage of the Kru\u0161evo icon painters.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What can you see in the gallery?<\/h3>\n<p>The exhibition offers a rare opportunity to explore the development of <strong>icon painting and fresco art<\/strong> through the centuries:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>17th-century frescoes:<\/strong> Right at the entrance to the church porch, you will find displaced frescoes from the <strong>Monastery of St. Athanasius<\/strong> in the village of Lokveni.<\/li>\n \n<li><strong>19th-century icons:<\/strong> The upper section of the gallery displays masterfully crafted icons, some created even earlier, curated by <strong>Dr. Kosta Balkanov<\/strong>.<\/li>\n \n<li><strong>Rare library:<\/strong> A collection of <strong>14 books from the 18th and 19th centuries<\/strong>, including three unique <em>herminias<\/em> (icon painters\u2019 manuals). One of them was written by the hand of the renowned <strong>Kosta Zograf<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The Heritage of the Kru\u0161evo Craft Guilds<\/h3>\n<p>Throughout history, <strong>Kru\u0161evo<\/strong> has been a true breeding ground for artistic talent. Research confirms that <strong>more than 20 guilds<\/strong> of icon painters, fresco painters, and woodcarvers originated from this town, whose works today adorn churches across the Balkans.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>The Mihajlo (Zisi) family line:<\/strong> One of the oldest icon-painting families, with signed works preserved to this day.<\/li>\n \n<li><strong>The studio of Kosta Zograf:<\/strong> A special highlight in the gallery is a set of objects discovered in <strong>1973<\/strong>\u2014authentic brushes, tools for applying gold leaf, and paint boxes used by the master himself.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A Masterpiece in Wood: The Iconostasis of Nestor Aleksieski<\/h3>\n<p>                 <\/p>\n<p>The interior of the church is adorned with a <strong>magnificent iconostasis carved in deep relief from linden wood<\/strong>. Although not completely finished, it is the work of the renowned woodcarver <strong>Nestor Aleksieski from the Reka region<\/strong>, who lived in Kru\u0161evo at the beginning of the <strong>20th century<\/strong>. This iconostasis is considered one of the most beautiful examples of <strong>Macedonian woodcarving art<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div
